Piranha
Low Latency Video with Metadata. The Piranha™ system was designed to meet the demanding requirement of delivering the lowest amount of delay and at the same time embedding metadata. The metadata is incorporated within the MPEG-2 transport stream assuring timecode accuracy.
The ISR Workhorse. The Piranha is ideal for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR) mission deployment, typically relaying video feeds as delivered by unmanned airborne vehicles and other data rich camera systems. The Piranha is based on Haivision's telecom grade architecture delivering deterministic performance over long periods of time.
Highly Tunable. The Piranha can be tuned to deliver low latency video over a wide spectrum on network capabilities. The resolution, frame rate, and compression bitrate can be adjusted on-the-fly to achieve the optimal video quality. The video bitrate is adjustable from 150kbps to 5Mbps.
Single or Multi Channel. The Piranha is available within a 1RU 2-slot chassis supporting a single video/metadata encoding channel or within a 3RU 6-slot chassis supporting up to a 4 video/metadata channels.
